ESTABLECIMIENTOS TEXTILES ITUZAINGÓ S.A.C.F.I. (ITUZAINGÓ) is an Argentinian company founded in 1947 by a group of textile entrepreneurs and under the management of the Aisenstein family since 1954. Initially stablished in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires province, where greasy wool was taken in and processed into yarn.
Over the years, ituzaingó shifted its productive and commercial profile to be more competitive, turning into the leader of the Argentine wool industry.
At the beginning, all production was affected to local demand. The first exports started during 1982.
In 1994 we began a process of industrial transformation, towards mainly an export profile and looking for a strategic location regarding the availability of the wool, and the market regulations.
In 1997, Ituzaingó carried a Joint Venture with the company Hart S.A. (now Chargeurs Wool Argentina S.A.). This Joint Venture allowed both companies to join efforts that eventually resulted in PEINADURIA RIO CHUBUT S.A. (PRC), a wool factory located in Patagonia, in Chubut province, with a production capacity of 10.000 tons annually, being actually, the wool processing plant with the highest production in the country.
Ituzaingó adapts to the reality of the market, due to the international demand, it has transformed it’s offer into finer wools with quality certifications for a wide and complete range of products.
For over two decades, ITUZAINGÓ has been ranked amongst the top wool exporters of the country in the Statistics of the Argentine Wool Federation (FLA).
